A virtual flow practice with a focus on moving mindfully with the breath.
Service Description
Thursdays @ 5:30pm-6:30pm via Zoom. Payment Options: Class pass, online payment when booking, OR Venmo (@alexandrastrongMN) Suggested Props: 2 Blocks 1 Bolster/Cushion (optional) Blanket Spotify Class Playlists: https://open.spotify.com/user/1275933516?si=53d37cffd7214171 (I recommend listening on a different device than the one you're streaming class from) Whole Being Practice (formerly Mindful Flow) is a gentle movement practice. You will connect with and move with your breath while tuning into how your body wants to move. We will start each class with awareness and grounding and then mindfully begin awakening the body with gentle movements that are guided by the breath. We will slowly build up to some low (supported) lunges and a couple of easy standing postures, then wind back down with gentle yin postures. This class has similarities to Vinyasa but we will not do chatarangas. Although this is a gentle class, you are always welcome to modify or take breaks as needed. You can expect to feel more grounded, relaxed, and balanced after this practice. This is a good class for beginners, postpartum mothers, older bodies, and anybody who enjoys a slower-paced practice.
